Donkeys Always Draw
This guy looks too young to be that wise but maybe it's an old pic :) As usual I don't want to take from his words by adding my empty ones after. --PB-- | |||

Two Plus Two Internet Magazine - July 2006: "You see, donkeys don't really play poker. There's no such thing as a poker-playing donkey. If they don't exist, they can't put you on tilt, can they?
Donkeys only play against your ego. You spend lots of effort working on your game, you practice a lot, and you've achieved a level of success you're proud of. Or maybe you haven't achieved that success yet, and you're looking for someone to blame. So you call players who aren't yet at your level "donkeys." And maybe you get embarrassed when you lose to a donkey.
...deletia...
Poker is about making the best decisions you can and then hoping the cards do the right thing for you. If the cards do the wrong thing, it doesn't matter if Phil Ivey or Phil Donkey is on the other end. If you'd feel better about losing to Phil Ivey, then your ego is playing tricks on you.Remove your ego from the equation. You're a good player with plenty of room to improve. Some players aren't as good as you are, and others are better. Sometimes you'll lose to the weaker players, and sometimes you'll beat the better ones. That's a fundamental truth of poker.
Be positive. Don't waste your time thinking about how badly the donkeys suck. Think about how you can improve. Win or lose, think about how you can make sharper decisions. Chances are, you missed an opportunity to make a brilliant play in your last tournament. Think about what that opportunity might have been, and make the play next time it presents itself."
